The 5 mile island of Sea Isle City is situated between Ocean City to its north and Avalon and Stone Harbor to its south. If you come across the 55th Street bridge out of Ocean City, you will enter Strathmere before you get to Sea Isle city proper. Strathmere has great restaurants and beautiful big beaches.  However, the island is very narrow at this point. At the southern tip of Sea Isle is Townsends Inlet.

Sea Isle is the favorite hangout of college kids. If you want to see your college friends, head for Sea Isle - even if you graduated 20 years ago! At night this is a real party town because of its abundance of bars and nightclubs.

Families love Sea Isle and return year after year. There are great accommodations to match your needs and services to match your needs also like salons.  There are a few churches in this town also. Activities are geared for every member of the family from young to old and if fishing is what you like....then Sea Isle is for you! There are playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts and a skateboarding park for the young and not so young and a library, concerts and fabulous restaurants for the next generation.

The fishing and crabbing in the bays and surrounding waters of Sea Isle is spectacular. I know that this is where I go when I want to go crabbing. We rent a boat, drop our lines and scoop up lots of big blue claw crabs - DELICIOUS! Fishing charters depart daily for half day or full day excursions. They claim that Sea Isle is a fisherman's paradise ....
